Still Life With Garden Produce

The tomatoes are not that big, about the size of a marble, so you can get a sense of scale.

Back to work today.  And it was okay - lots of E-Mails to read and lots of trying to catch up with what happened last week.

Naturally we talked about sport - the Olympics took second place to Lukas Podolski announcing his retirement from international football.  Lukas is an interviewer's dream.  He says things because he thinks them and some of them are really funny.  One quote that is often attributed to him but is actually from Jan Böhmermann pretending to Poldi "Fußball ist wie Schach, nur ohne Würfel." (Football is just like chess - but without the dice).  If you have a bit of German then go ahead and click the link, I enjoyed it.

As a result of reading that article I found another that contained a lot of Fotos of Berlin in the 1960s.  Some of them are cracking - again you'll need German to understand what things say but some Fotos speak for themselves.

And I could go on to a huge discourse about plurals in German (another discussion fromlunchtime today) but I feel we can all just enjoy a bit of Still Life in place of grammatic cruelty.
