The Rainbow & the Grayhound

This is the day the builders at the boatyard had been waiting for. The launching of the Grayhound lugger from Millbrook Mariner. It was fantastic with hundreds of well wishers and celebrations. We the Pirates of St Piran & the Old Gaffers singing 'Haul Away for Rosie' as she was launched. It was emotional with cheers and applause & champagne. The weather had been glorious all day and as the speeches were made before the launch, after the champagne was smashed on the side to name her The Grayhound, a few drops of rain fell and then out of the blue came another blessing, the rainbow. It was magical, another reflection of it appeared above it too. A good omen, a magical one. God bless her and all who sail in her. Pray for fairwinds and calm seas.
