A Day at the Farm

We had our annual family reunion on my wife's side today in Reed City, Michigan. As some of you know...my wife's cousin is a hunter, and his log cabin is filled with mounted animals. (I've blipped them before.) But tonight, I decided to blip the living.

That is my son, my daughter-in-law to be, and my daughter in the upper left, and Merrick in the upper right.

Cousin Bill has a big sand pit in his backyard. Half of it is filled with water that my kids are swimming in, and the other half is mostly sand.

I think the picture is deceiving, but the "castle" is 7 feet high, and 8 feet long. A strange castle to work on, too...because 75% of it I carved while standing up. All you had to do was scrape away the top dry layer, and the sand under it was pretty well packed.

I told Lisa that I'm glad it isn't in my backyard, because I'd never get any work done. Such fun.

We drove 300 miles round-trip, the clock just struck midnight, and I'm off to bed.

Night-night.
