Angel of Death

Sadly for this sulphur crested cockatoo the angel of death can’t come quickly enough.  It’s in a very sad state, it’s bill has elongated and crossed so it can’t feed properly and it’s losing feathers from under the wings and head. 

It’s been sitting in the tree by the feeder most of the day, and if it’s still here tomorrow we shall take steps. It is very sick. Hopefully Fauna Rescue will be able to come and capture it.  We think it will have to be euthanized, but you never know, it may be able to be saved.  Poor thing. This is probably the saddest photo I have ever blipped and it is most distressing.
