Australasian Darter

Captured this beauty today at the now full and overflowing Playford Lake. Fortunately I had the big old Canon with me and the 300 lens. It paid off with this lucky find, a beautiful Darter, hiding between some branches on the edge of the lake.
It is a very large bird and I have not seen one around here for about 12 months. Paladian says I do not go looking often enough! Normally looking at the other type of birds!
