Edgar had got so much into the habit of saying that Amos never wanted to hug him that he was still saying it today after a couple of days of hug-acquiescence.

I had hoped that today might have been shorter than yesterday, but shortness will have to wait for next week. Almost everything on my wee list was crossed-out today, though the things I didn't bother to list as I knew I'd not get round to them were not.
