Common Enchantments

House in the mist at Peggy's Cove

Today we had a very full day..Halifax Public Gardens, the Halifax Citadel, a trip to Peggy's Cove, and then a stop at the cemetery where Titanic victims were buried...then a new friend and I had a sail on a wooden tall ship!

This photo is a house at Peggy's Cove.  The rocky area where the famed lighthouse is located was spectacular but this house set on a desolate area next to a huge ocean just really seems to convey what it means to live at the Cove.  What a unique and wonderful place the it is.

In the extras, a flower from the gardens (where they have to dig up plants and put in greenhouses for the winter), the British citadel on the hill about Halifax downtown area,  the rock and lighthouse at Peggy's Cove,  the tombstones for the Titanic victims, some who were never identified, and the sails of the tail ship.

Another day of sightseeing tomorrow, a small fishing village and some old, old churches.
