Glaciers
It was still cloudy early morning (so no need to leave the bed for blipping the sunrise). It was nice to stay up on top of Diavolezza, so that we could enjoy a night on 3000m altitude with complete silence and a lie in until 8am ;) Most of the other guests left at 0330am to start their journey to the peaks.
However as soon as we met the guides at 10am outside, it cleared up quickly and we had a perfect sunny but not too hot summer day.
We were a group of 10 from 4 countries for the glacier tour (a family of four from the UK,, a family of three from Germany! a nice guy from Japan we alteady met in the evening and us being drom Switzerland/Finland). A fairly tiring but unique day. The two glaciers (Pers, Morteratsch) we walked on and the insights the guide provided made it a very special experience.

When you walk on the glacier and realize that today it is only a fraction of what it used to be .... It makes climate change really tangible:

We arrived towards 4pm at the train station Morteratsch for a well deserved beer with the guides first and then catching the train back to the parking.
In Pontresina now. Used the public pool and the spa which is connected with the hotel directlly. We have a corner room overlooking Pontresina and with a view into the Roseg valley. Beautiful. And the light up here is just magnificent. A valley to live and get old I think.
