Loch Brandy

Pesky Princess & #1 Son have to do personal fundraising for their Scout trip to an American Jamboree in Florida next year. Today was the day of their sponsored walk up to Loch Brandy, so all of family P headed up there and did the walk. Its a very steep climb which doesn't really level out or ease off until you get to the top. Views are fantastic, especially when its a clear day, and the water is really clear for a hill loch.

There were people up there fishing, and some others had been swimming and were drying off in the sun when we arrived!

This is about the only usable shot I have from today. I'd just taken this, walked about 1/2km round the other side to take some shots of the whole loch from where it empties down the hill via a stream when the heavens opened and blipping was suspended for the day. All the shots I took had water droplets on the lens, as the rain was driving right into me :(

40 minutes later we arrived back at the car absolutely soaked through our waterproofs and extremely knackered.

Well done Pesky, #1 and Mrs P. Its been a long time since we did a walk that hard, but it was well worth it.
