Celebration!

I know I foreshadowed several days ago that following my retirement from local government as a councillor, that I intended to enjoy a celebratory glass of wine with Di. Well here it is three days later and we are now enjoying the glass of wine. This was not my proposed main blip, but after looking at the shot on a larger screen, I decided they needed more work. Todays shot has a real meaning for me at this moment. The glass of wine is a Moscato Rosa which is one of Di's favourites, absolutely the least she deserves after my 17 years on council. The photo on the right has a relationship, it was taken in Dover where I was born. My father is on the left, mother on the right and my grandfather sitting behind. We emigrated from England to Australia in 1952, the link being that my fathers first job after arriving in Australia was in charge of correspondence at Tamworth City Council. From an early stage I was aware of the relationship between council staff and councillors, so I won't repeat what my father said when I told him I was standing for council in the late 90's. Hope you have a really great day!
