Watching me watching you

I could swear this red admiral butterfly was giving me a pretty hard stare as I blipped it.  It certainly wasn't going to move and sat there for a long time.  They have beautiful wings, don't they, and beautiful 'fur', but what a funny hunched little back.

I took this very close to home today as I had an even more important job to do - making a birthday cake.  How sad is it to make your own cake? However, I'm the only one going out to lunch tomorrow that knows the pub has a crazy deserts crisis over the next few days, so I wasn't left with much choice.  Anyway, it's a totally delish cake, so there are compensations...
