Open wide....

Every year the house martins nest in the eaves of my neighbours' houses.  From my garden I have quite a good view of the parents coming and going, swooping across my garden and flashing around at stunning speed.

I have a good view, but I've always been a little nervous of turning my telephoto lens in the direction of their bathroom window.  What defence would I have - it seems an invasion of privacy, (not that you can see a thing with the frosted glass).

But today, the little ones were popping their heads out and the parents were obligingly coming and going.  So I took a few shots. You can just make out the little one with his mouth wide open here....
