Neuschwanstein castle

This castle is apparently the biggest tourist attraction in Europe! It is marketed as the Disney castle, and you can see why. A guy from the hostel, Will, and I went to see this today on a day tour. It lasted until 7.20pm and we saw this castle and the other one next to it, which is on the border with Austria on the Alpsee lake.

After we returned to Munich we took our guide for a beer (two beers, and roast pork with potato dumpling, sauerkraut and crackling and then a beer for the road) because he was so good, and he ended up taking us to the Oktoberfest grounds and showing us around (even though they were fenced off) before we returned to the hostel.
