Challenges

Off to South Kensington this evening for our second night at the BBC Proms.  Tonight we enjoyed the amazing talents of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain in Strauss's Also Sprach Zarathustra and Holst's The Planets. The evening started with the London premiere of a new work, Gravitational Waves" by Iris ter Schiporst.  This was highly entertaining - a complete performance, not just a musical work: it involved the players wearing masks and singing/shouting some of the words.  It must have been great fun to perform.
