Not a Bird!

I love the colorful dahlias that one of the farmers' market vendors has this time of year, and was particularly drawn to this one today, with its delicate colors accented by those bright yellow-green buds. 

I did take more photos of our backyard birds this afternoon, although I meant to be thanking all those who sent my "fancy dress" flicker to page 1 of the Popular stream yesterday, a great thrill for me!  

Phil's son came up today for an overnight visit, which included an afternoon hike with his dad. Tim took a fine photo of Phil on the hike, and has posted it as his first Blipfoto entry!
