Basilica Ceiling

This is part of the ornate ceiling of the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, in the Citta di Alta of Bergamo. 

Take a funicular up to the high city, and wander the quiet streets. View the church, and take in the sites from the clock tower.

The church was founded in 1137, although not fully finished until 1521.
