Cardiff Bay View
I was up at 7am for an early morning schedule job in Cardiff and took the opportunity to visit my parents and have a look around Cardiff Bay from above. The blip picture shows the Flyover going across the Bay with a view of Cardiff Yacht club, the barrage, Penarth Head and an assortment of apartment blocks.
The extra photo shows the view of St Davids Hotel (with bird like roof) and the Wales Millennium Centre (gold tiled roof) with the Bute Tunnels.
As it's been a lovely sunny day, we did the annual conservatory clean where we remove all the furniture and vacuum up all the winter guests who have sneaked in without paying rent.
Mrs BB then allowed me to listen to Birmingham v Cardiff City on the radio; the first match of the season. Cardiff outplayed Birmingham (a strong contender for promotion) but, as usual, we lacked a clinical finisher - with our new striker booting over the goalpost when it would have been easier to put it in the net. It ended 0-0.
This evening I'm looking forward to a home cooked gammon joint that is slow roasted over many hours with Rosemary, orange and lemon before being basted in honey. A tray of water keeps the joint moist. A friends home grown 'runner beans' and boiled potatoes, drizzled in butter, will be toasted with a few glasses of wine!
Enjoy the weekend.
