New keys

The holidays are fast approaching and I have new keys and a new key chain.

The Nashville chain is from my time there as a tourist a few years back. Love the place, much better than Memphis IMO.

Compass (well part of it) was a Christmas gift from a friend. Maybe the missing inner is making me directionless?! Very . . . erm . . . what's that Chinese philosophy about furniture placement?

Fish or shark theme bottle opener (always a winner) is from San Diego.

Keys being kept together and safe.

A day of trying to resolve a parking fine. MrH is sensibly watching TV in the front room and I've moved to the bedroom to continue reading emails about parking and codes of practice related to parking on private land. I've been at this for 5 hours today :-/

I have some chilled white Spanish wine by my side but it's not hitting the spot as I have my serious legal head on.

I asked MrH to think of 3 positive things to say about me tonight, to positivify the mood, and he suggested (rather shyly)
1) my straight back- I have it against a plank of wood right now and usually have a very bad posture!

2) my funny/ unusual ways ( related to me sitting on a buckwheat barrel cushion with a plank in my back) :-) ok I look interesting tonight

3) he looked unsure, blew me a kiss and left the room

I'll record that for posterity!

Nearly done with the parking appeal, it's a feast of an essay with photos, newspaper references and a letter from the MP! Annoyed it's taken so much time but it will likely run and run!
