Mmmmm Minty

Slept pretty well........woke a couple of times, but didn't get up until 8.45, needed to catch up on some sleep though ;-)

Hub was staying at home to tackle the lawns, as they'd not been cut this week whilst I was off to see mum, to take her shopping. Sis normally takes her but she is having work done at home.......however, she did meet up with us, to get out of the house for a while ;-)

We had lunch, did our grocery shopping......sis went home, mum and me went back to mums. The weather was pleasant, some sun, so we sat outside a while, pottered in the garden and mum fed the birds!!

I took mum some tomatoes, potatoes, cucumber and runner beans from the garden. She bought herself an M&S steak and ale pie, to with her new potatoes and runner beans for her tea. I left it all ready to go before I left just before 5.......I was expecting a long drawn out drive home at this time but luckily it wasn't too bad!

I unpacked our shopping then joined hub outside......watering the baskets and generally pottering! I had to get the ant powder out, as the warmer weather has brought the flying ones out and they were all over the windowsill :-/

Hub has bought some gammon steaks for,dinner, so I prepared more runner beans and new potatoes ;-) which we enjoyed, followed by peaches and banana ice cream :-)

I think we will be having,another earlyish night tonight......weekend weather looks promising, fingers crossed :-)

Oh yes, today's blip, it's a black and white buzzy fly thing....not sure exactly what, but it was enjoying my flowering mint :-) not the sharpest shot Ive ever taken :-/
