Who rarely is often mentioned in my journal but rarely features in the actual blip .... and deserves better.

Today is our whole day to ourselves, between two nights away.  While Amy and Ruth are off having fun, we chose to camp above Cromer, away from the house, the jobs, the phone and the internet.  And what a good choice it was!  For reasons too complicated to go into, our first holiday in 24 years of marriage where there was nothing to stop us doing exactly what we wanted.

We both like camping, being outdoors, living a simple life, so this was an easy choice.  Last night we went to the beach (great surf and surfers,) to church, had a Chinese and went to the Cinema (Ab Fab - funny but not as good as on TV.) Today we had breakfast atop Cromer Cliffs, visited two churches (one for an Organ Concert), and took a long, slow walk in Sheringham Park.  On the way round we stopped and just sat for a while several times, enjoying the fresh air and the freedom to do as we pleased.  The folly on the hill provides a many a photo-opportunity (see extras) but it was on a shady bench that we ended up taking pictures of each other.  To even things up I have added one of J's pics as an extra.  We ended the day with Fish and Chips on Cromer Pier where we sat until the light had gone ....... a perfect day.
