LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

Well I don't know about anyone else, but I'll be putting the alarm on for just before 6.00am on Saturday and making sure I don't miss one second of the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games in Rio.

You just have to put all of the controversy behind you and cheer for the athletes who have spent years of their life preparing for this moment.....THE RIGHT WAY!  

This little boxing kangaroo is riding for his place in history and is one of the secret weapons that the Aussies have up their sleeve for the Alternative Olympic Games being so wonderfully hosted by dbifulco  If you really want to get into the spirit of the games you must visit the AOG2016 tag and read the wonderful journals and be amazed by some of the spectacular performances so far - and the games haven't even begun. :-)))

PS - This is a macro of one of four small badges that have been produced for Aussies to wear as a badge of honour during the games.  So far we have the Boxing Kangaroo cycling and preparing to dive into the pool, so can't wait to see what sports will be represented in the other two.
