Flower Friday

It's been a bitterly cold day today and the winds were howling when I went into Blackheath to post some mail late this afternoon. The temperature gauge was showing 4 degrees but it felt like -4 degrees. I in fact felt like the Michelin Woman with my polar fleece engulfed by my puffer jacket. Anyway, the good news is, I'm now happily sitting in front of the fire writing my journal for the day :-)

I had a good old natter to rainie in Timaru New Zealand this afternoon about their impending visit to the Blue Mountains. Only two weeks today and they will be sitting in our living room. Woohoo!! I hope rainie reads my blip today because I forgot to ask if either of them are allergic to any food. Don't you hate it when you have a "seniors moment" !!

CCN suggested that I take a shot of the new Geraldton Wax plant that we purchased yesterday. We have our fingers crossed that Blippy and his mates won't like this plant and it will thrive at Wombat Hollow. I love the fact that I have a regular built in Blip Spotter. Sometimes you just need someone to inspire you. The Geraldton Wax plant grows like a weed in Western Australia, but they're the most wonderful plant when you see them growing in the wild AND they are great to cut for a flower vase.

I hope you like my entry for Flower Friday Biker Bear and thanks again for hosting this spectacularly consistent blip challenge :-)
