Palate/palette/pallet

Strictly speaking each is pronounced slightly differently but for most of us they sound the same.

Palate - the roof of the mouth
Palette - a flat board an artist mixes paint on
Pallet - a pile of these things, platforms goods are loaded onto

I discovered this stack of pallets around the back of the new building, at what will be eventually be another entrance. Building stuff arrives all the time so there is well, a stack of pallets.

I snuck to and from work on my bike without drama. It was slightly damp biking to work and dry on the way home. I had a head wind either way. It's feeling colder than it was.

I'm relieved tonight because my friend I often cook for is ok. Phone issues had me fearing she'd deteriorated. I've dropped off fresh bread and soup, and we had a good chat.

Somewhere in the background the little pope is playing with his extensive collection of small, furry mouse-like toys. Some have tails and some used to have tails ;-) It's time to give the little pope a bit of attention.
