AOG2016 Canyon Gate Stadium

It was a glorious start to the day at AOG2016 Canyon Gate Stadium. The golfers were up early but most of the contestants were just starting to stir.

In the extra, Team Husky, Oscar and Jack, had their human, Zach, out early checking over the different venues making sure everything was ship-shape and seeing to it that Team Canadian Geese were not "fowling" the pristine grass.

A new entrant, Harry the Heron, appeared for the first time this year and saw that Team Cormorant had taken over his palm tree. As Harry tried and failed to chase the cormorants from their sleeping quarters, (extra 2) Team Bunny was busy practicing the baton exchange for their relay races coming up. (extra 3)

The excitement is starting to build as we get closer to the opening ceremonies and the beginning of the games. 

The lead photographer needs to sharpen her skills a bit, but I think she is up for the challenge. 

I am grateful to start the day with so many interesting activities.
