Carbon Capture!
Sometimes the issue of global warming seems an insurmountable international problem. As I foreshadowed in yesterdays post, today in Australia is National Tree Planting day. Today thanks to Muswellbrook Shire Council's Environmental Officer Tracy Ward and Landcare's Sustainability Officer Nick Alexander our community planted 2600 trees in three locations. my first photo is a little further down Karool Park showing part of todays tree planting with part of last years planting in the background. My second Photo is the second of todays plantings which is alongside the rehabilitation of Muscle Creek which I posted weeks ago. and lastly my third shot is of my favourite ducks down by Muscle Creek, and now there are three. The ducks were standoffish, so I think I need a longer lens, or spend more time around them. Wit Spring on the way, sitting by the creek, soaking up the warmth is not a bad option. Big congratulations for the people in our community for their contribution in the tree planting project.
