Lucy Kalua

This is Lucy Kalua. She is 15 and just finished Form 1, in Luwinga Secondary School, which is 15 minutes walk.  She has 1 brother and 4 sisters, living in two rooms.

She lives with both parents. Her sister is in form 4. They depend on watch man's wages, which is very low for family needs. Its difficult for her parents  to afford fees, for two girls, from the same amount of wages. It was also hard to go to boarding school where she was selected and chose to learn at Luwinga  Secondary school because of affordability of fees.
