Charley has the most beautiful multi-hued eyelashes - mainly a pale sandy blond, with the odd copper and brown lashes in the mix. Just gorgeous! Funny the things you notice when you're stuck in the back of the car with the boys.
Got the craft kits finished and parcelled up and posted today, and then Man he said (at 4.30pm) There's Still Time to Go to the Shop of Blue and Yellow.
And so the boys fell asleep in the car, and I need to do my pelvic floor exercises REALLY badly.
...
Got to the House of Blue and Yellow, gave my pelvic floor a break, and headed up to find food. Ben said he'd like mashed potato (after trying some yesterday for the first time in ages and deciding it wasn't so bad after all) and would try some meatballs once we convinced him they were just like chopped up sausages. Added peas to his meal because Charley does love peas. And got to a table where once he'd shown us where we were all to sit he decided he didn't want mash, he wanted chips and he was NOT. Going. To. Try. A. Meatball. *sigh.* Ah well. Charley had fun with the peas and mash and meatballs.
Once we'd eaten we headed into the showroom. Charley was so excited - I figured he'd probably enjoy investigating everything, and he did. Crawling all over going "ba! ba! ba! ba!" in the excited way he does. Playing in shower cubicles that Ben declared were buses, possibly on account of the way the door folded open and shut. Ben decided he wanted to live in one of the showhouses. I feel for him. I think he'd really like for our house to be decorated.... He announced that our office was to be like This one, with all the desks in it, very lovely room - yes Ben, I'd like for that very much too! One day sweetie, soon. We're getting there.
We picked up some bargains, one of which needed dismantling after paying for it all, and once outside some helpful staff helped Steve get one of the big boxes onto the roof bars. Ben entertained himself by climbing on all the bollard type things, eating chocolates and telling me he wasn't going to be high as a kite on the way home, because he was only this tall (holding hid hand over his head). Charley woke up two minutes before we were all loaded and ready to go and so he got a drink before we set off. We must have been the last customers to leave the carpark.....
And finally they both fell asleep again in the car. Ben with his legs up in a "V" kicking me in the neck.....
