Reclaimed

I've had this garden bench for around 30 years. For the last 15, or even more, it has looked very dilapidated and unloved. Today I bought a cheap electric sander from homebase and attacked it with vigour. In about half an hour and very little effort, all the lichen and moss had gone from the front surface, and it looked like this. We're now trying to work out how to get the broken slat off - we do have a replacement which we've had for a similarly long period. I thought it made a suitable entry for derelict Sunday, even if it is a little less derelict than it was and heading more towards the theme this week of Beauty.
Even if I only repair the slat though, it will still look 100% better than it did yesterday.
Feeling chuffed!
