Cotter's House & Deans Head
As some of you were interested in the photo I posted on Monday of Deans Head and Cotter's house, I'm posting another view, taken in the early light. It's thrown the cliffs into sharp perspective and you can see the formations of basalt made by volcanic activity many moons ago. The track that has been cut up to the top of Deans Head, so that Cotter's House can be demolished, is easily seen. I hope you find this one interesting too.
And on the house front, a big step up today. The power has not only been reconnected from the pole to the house, but the lights and other appliances now all have power to them! Yay!!! Signoff is to happen tomorrow. Now this really is progress. And it'll be 26 months to the day since I first moved out. It won't be the absolute end, as there'll be a few 'defects' to be sorted out, but I think we've arrived at the once-distant end of that tunnel, that so many of you have mentioned - the light at the end of the tunnel. It's almost unbelievable.
