A flock of... oystercatchers

Despite the haar hugging our shores I popped out for a birl on my bike at lunchtime. Headed over to the Loft Gallery in the Hope to have a look at the current exhibition and thinking I might bump into Poppy. Poppy wasn't there but I did enjoy the exhibition by Tim Wootton really nice collection of his work. Especially liked the big dramatic charcoal pieces and a wonderful water colour of waxwings which was like one of those hand-painted oriental wall papers.

On the way back I noticed this flock of oystercatchers, everyone with it's head under it's wing, as soon as I produced a camera they all woke up so I never bothered to even try for a close up, instead I went for the dramatic mist and tiny black and white blobs.

Now, of course I can tell the difference between an oystercatcher and a seagull but I've now got this going round and round in my head.
