field of dreams

It looks like this mule deer is still lying down from her night's rest, but actually she ran into this valley of tall grass upon seeing us. 
I like the dreamy quality that shooting down through the trees gives the photo.
A little later on in our walk we saw the neighborhood red tailed hawk with its chest feathers all puffed out, and I couldn't resist putting that in the extra today.
