Fusion Fair

Today was very hot; though it only registered 21 degrees, it felt a lot warmer. Having been deprived of heat for so long must make one more sensitive to the heat I guess. We visited a local festival called Fusion which was a celebration of the local diversity of the local population...160 or so different languages apparently. It is something that has struck us about Canada...the rich diversity of cultures. The festival consisted of live music and different nationalities selling a sample of their national food in a series of tents. You could buy food tokens (a dollar for one token) and try umpteen cuisines. Mrs P and I went for Thai, and our boys went for Ghana, Singapore and Canada. There was even a Scottish tent selling meat pies and Irrn Bru amongst other delicacies!

The blip shows one of a number of entertainers who were there as part of the Festival which consisted of 3 acrobats using a trampoline to entertain the crowd.
