Multiplication

We did our monthly Wetland Bird Survey today, starting just after sunrise. As always, it was a very nice walk, and we were pleasantly surprised by the number of birds we saw, including our first ever Kingfisher for this site. We have often seen Great crested grebes there, but always singly, and often at a distance at different places on the reservoir so we've never been sure whether there was one or two. Today that question was answered - there were 4 - two adults and one juvenile here, and a 2nd youngster not in shot.
