The Autumn Starts Here!

I've been at home today apart from a quick walk to the postbox to post a card to a friend. It's been quite a busy week so it was nice to have a catch up day. I've been attempting the compose a newsletter for the Fungus Group of which I'm secretary. I was galvanised into doing this when I spotted a couple of fungi on the back lawn. I also checked round the front, and discovered that 2 species of waxcap were fruiting there - already! This is Hygrocybe conica - the Blackening Waxcap
