Which way to go?

This signpost is on the West Highland Way near Gartness.

The arrow pointing right would take you back to the start, about 9 miles away, but most trekkers would carry on to the left and reach Drymen about 3 miles further on.

It's a hard 3 miles, up some steep hills when you're already exhausted and possibly have sore and blistered feet. I speak from experience...

The wild flowers growing on the banking are a recent addition and make a gorgeous display at this time of year even though the rain has done its best to flatten them. (See extra.)

Goodness knows what the weather will decide to do this weekend - it's been such a hotchpotch this week - but I hope you have a good 'un, blipmates.
