On the way to the Pyrénées, we stopped by this wonderful town called Sos del Rey Católico, which is where King Ferdinand II, one half of the legendary Ferdinand and Isabella pair that completed the Reconquista of the Iberian Peninsula.

The later part of the town's name comes from that association. The view here is from the top of the town, looking north. The town is quite high up and very sun baked.
