Throwing his weight about

Today we caught the 8.15 ferry for Mull and visited the Highland Games at Tobermory.

We were in time to join the parade and walk behind the band all the way up to Erray Park above the town. We were lucky with the weather as it stayed dry almost all day, with only a very few drops of rain later in the afternoon.



I spent a lot of time trying to get some photographs of the weight-throwers, but as they were throwing from the safety of a net it was quite difficult to get the focussing right. This is probably the best of the bunch. In the background is Brian Robin, one of the judges.
