First holiday!

We have taken Baby L away from home for the night for the first time since we brought her home from the hospital when she was 5 days old. We have come to Rye in East Sussex and have booked a "family room" in a hotel!

We went to Camber Sands at lunchtime to give Baby L her first taste of the seaside but it was very windy so we didn't stay long - will try again tomorrow.

We had a lovely lunch in Rye before checking into the hotel by the river. Later on we had a walk in Rye Harbour Nature Reserve which is where we took this photo... and thankfully Baby L had a sleep which had proven tricky all day. Fingers crossed for tonight!
