Abbey church at Cerisy-la-Forêt, Normandy

The Benedictine abbey was built in the late 11th century.  The church became a parish church in 1790, when the monks left the abbey. 

Half of the church's nave was destroyed in 1811.  Nonetheless, what remains is impressive and well worth a visit
