Inlet Moon

Looking across the inlet this evening as the moon rose above the beach houses.
We needed a pleasant sight to end off what started as an awful day.
The nature center at our local state park which  encompasses the marsh area and the beach completely burned down early this morning and is a total loss.
The saddest part is that all the animals inside including many reptiles, fish, baby alligators, living coral, seahorses etc. all perished in the fire.
Lucky that no human life was lost but so sad for all friends of the park and those like us who were so much a part of it all.
It's been a tough day.
I have some photos of the fire and it's aftermath but those will never see the light of day. They will remain in my files as a memorial tribute.
