Baculite

Today we went out to Barnes and Noble for lunch. Saw a few photography books that looked good. Also went to Sport Authority which is closing down and bought some trainers and an orange fleece.

One of my cousin's sons returned home after two months with His daughter, backpacking out west and told us all about their trip. He showed us a part of a Baculite. A fossil they brought back. These were long cone shaped creatures. Functioning in some ways like today's Nautilus. The native Indians call these bear stones because looking at the top, or it could be the bottom, it looks like a bear.
