Freedom

Mono Monday - communication. The Freedom Tower stands by the site of the Twin Towers, destroyed on 11 September 2001. They speak of the rebuilding of not just a structure but the healing of a nation.

You can also see part of the American flag flying next to the tower : saluted every single day by American children in school.

A few days before 9/11 I was taking photos of the Twin Towers from the Staten Island ferry. A year or two before I had taken photos from the top of one of the towers. We were just back home and I watched the towers collapse over and over again on TV. I was still a bit jet lagged. The following day I had a car accident .

Today we went to the top of the Freedom Tower and looked down on the city!
