A very warm day has brought forth this poppy in one of our Fuchsia pots.

3 years ago we had a wonderful display of poppies from plants I'd retrieved from a friend who was throwing them out of her allotment. The took two years to flower but wer magnificent as you can see in the link.

They have never come back except in odd ones in pots or even cracks between paving stones. So frustrating. My friend was originally pulling them out in frustration as she couldn't get rid of them!

As you can see there is another bud to open; wonder if they will come up any where else.

Unusually I have spent a bit of time reading in the garden. This is summer after all.
