Dragonfly

I was stalking a heron, as usual, when this dragonfly flitted by.

I think it is a female laying eggs as she repeated this behaviour on other lily pads.

I had a telephoto zoom lens attached and used it for the first time on an insect so forgive the lack of clarity.

The heron was relegated to the Extra.
