Annual family photo session

The last family photo we had was taken by Dennis when he visited a year ago, so he kindly did the honours again this year. But what a performance to get everybody to have eyes open, or James sitting still, etc etc. This is the best we had. Luke has his eyes shut. Thomas is making a funny face and for some reason Nathaniel has a dummy in. never mind, it is a record of some kind and a memento of a fun day. It was a day of exploring in the woods of course, tracking a big bad wolf, plus lots of chasing around the house. I cooked some tasty food -
A broccoli, cheese and onion cake, mushroom pie, roast veg cous cous, panazella, pea, physalis and mozzarella with lemon-infused olive oil, and more. The children had great fun squashing the meringues for the Eton Mess which, given our present political circumstances, seemed apt.

Now the family has gone, Dennis has fallen asleep, Mr C is clearing up - and I'm sitting here with my feet up about to have a large G&T.
