Podium finish!

The Open University forums were aflame today as the results were released. It was like watching the 'Brain Olympics' - hundreds, if not thousands, of students displaying almost as many different emotions. Some are just at the beginning of their journey, some have now crossed the finishing line, some elated with their results and some disappointed, but all should be proud of the effort they put in, often despite great adversity and challenging personal situations. As for me, no gold medal but still won a place on the 'academic podium' with silver.

The OU-themed day continued as I went down to the University of Sussex in the evening (this is a sneaky view of the student bar that featured in Nogbad's recent blip) to finally meet Blip Challenge, who I've known for quite a while (in fact, he was one of the people who sparked my interest in blipping, too) but hadn't met in person. He is tutoring this week at the residential school and I had a lovely evening - felt like catching up with an old friend, not meeting a 'new' one.
