Staub vs Le Creuset

We've always been a Le Creuset family - for the last 30 years - I love it. We were given a set of five saucepans, casserole dishes, terrine and baking ware by Mr C's mother, who, a gifted and passionate cook, had been a Le Creuset fan for at least 30 years before that.

And to make it completely clear, that's 60 years of Le Creuset devotion.

I've needed wanted a really large casserole dish for ages, and when a local on-line site offered a ridiculous special I whipped out the credit card and bought it.

Staub.

It's being trotted out for the first time tonight and Mr C is looking on in disdain.
