Amaranthus Tricolor
We planted this striking plant in a pot a couple of years ago and were so impressed with it that we planted a couple this year. It has obliged us by popping up everywhere including the herb garden. Unlike the borage, it is quite well behaved and looks rather nice with the basil.
The garden needs to be tamed in several places. Things either go wild or don't grow at all. We will be making tomato sauce with all the tomatoes, but the beets chose not to cooperate this year. I don't know how the farmers do it....
