Flags and flowers

Wooler looked quite splendid today in the sunshine, with Northumberland flags flying above the High Street ready for the Glendale festival next weekend and flowers in the tubs and hanging baskets at their best.

Three short walks with MrM and Louie (on the Common, around Wooler and on Weetwood Moor) today, and little local shopping. Finally remembered to look in the outdoor shop, and was lucky. Bought a pair of sandals in the sale - last pair in my size - identical to those I wore all last summer and have been wearing just about every day for the last few months. SO comfy...

Bit of gardening late afternoon and into the evening, until the midges became unbearable! A few more plants to put in the containers tomorrow...
