Things I Miss

Day Two of our trip to Yorkshire.

We were back in the village in Wharfedale where we used to live, and it felt so familiar, and so different at the same time.  I went with my friend to the cafe in the church and didn't see anyone that I knew, then later, on my way to the station, bumped into a former neighbour who filled me in on what has been happening in the last ten years.

I got the train up to Ilkley and revisited old favourite places - the Manor House Museum, now closed thanks to 'the cuts', the river, Betty's Cafe (only to sniff the coffee), and my favourite haberdashery - Duttons for Buttons! I
